YOUNGSTERS from across Reading showed solidarity with thousands of other people on Friday by taking part in a climate change protest.
Dozens of protesters walked around the town centre brandishing placards and chanting: 'What do we want? Climate justice! When do we want it? Now!'
It was connected to a strike all over the world, calling for students to leave school in order to persuade governments to take action.
Strikes were arranged in more than 2,000 towns and cities, in more than 100 different countries.
Reading Borough Council recently declared a climate change emergency, following pressure from local campaigners.
The group of young people and parents entered the council offices as part of their protest route, as well as The Oracle shopping centre.
