TALENTED young musicians blew away a panel of expert judges to win an annual event.
The Rotary Clubs of Loddon Vale and Reading Maiden Erlegh supported the Young Musician competition, which was held at St. Joseph's College.
Seven instrumentalists impressed the audience, but it the winner was Oliver Simpson on the cello.
Florence Cain came out on top in the equally-competitive vocal section, singing pieces by Mozart, Quilter and Noel Coward.
The winners and runners-up will go on to compete in the Thames Valley Rotary District Final, which will take place on March 17 at the college.
The ultimate goal is to qualify for the national finals, which will be held at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford on May 4.
