The Inner Wheel Club of Maiden Erlegh recently celebrated its 17th Charter Anniversary with a meal at Sonning Gold Club.
The speaker for the evening was Steve Roberts, whose funny and fascinating talk was entitled 'Tales of a Scotland Yard Detective'.
Steve, who retired as a detective inspector in the Metropolitan Police after 30 years of service, worked in east and south London on a number of specia;lised investigations with the Flying Squad, Anti-Corruption and Kidnap Unit.
The club would like to invite everyone to its Charity Fashion Show, presented by John Lewis and Partners on Wednesday, April 17.
This will be held at Leighton Park School and will start at 7pm.
Tickets cost £12 and will include a glass of wine or soft drink.
All money raised will benefit the charities Motor Neurone Disease Association and Arthritis UK.
