HOSPICE staff have received a heartwarming donation from across the community as part of a Valentine's-themed campaign.
Businesses, including The Reading Chronicle, spread the love for Sue Ryder and displayed a heart with a message in Broad Street Mall in return for a donation.
In total, the 'Love Your Hospice' campaign raised more than £6,300, which is enough to fund a nurse at the Duchess of Kent Hospice for 45 days.
Nino's Trattoria in Pangbourne was one of many businesses to take up the opportunity and owner, Nino Bartolomei, was delighted to offer his support after his father was supported by Sue Ryder.
He said: “I wanted to support Sue Ryder so that they can continue to be there for all other families in need, like they were there for us when we needed them.”
