A MAN suffered a deep cut to his face after being attacked by two people on Kings Road yesterday (February 18).

The 44-year-old man was walking near to the college outside The Pinnacle in Reading when he was knocked to the ground by a duo in their 20s.

He was kicked a number of times by the two offenders, who then fled the scene towards Rupert Street.

The victim suffered a deep cut to his face and back of his head.

He was treated at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and has since been discharged.

The two offenders are white, aged in their twenties and were both wearing dark clothing.

Investigating officer PC Paul Mulvey of the Reading Investigation Hub, said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a man in broad daylight.

“We believe that there could be a number of witnesses who would be able to help officers with this investigation and would ask that if you saw what happened to get in touch.
