A MAN is due to appear at the court after being charged with causing death by careless driving.
Catalin Cazacu, of Waldeck Street, Reading, will appear at Reading Magistrates' Court on February 21.
This is in connection with an incident on Kings Road, at the junction with Kingsgate Street, on May 17 last year.
The motorcylist, Edward Gilder, 20, died as a result of his injuries.
Officers were called to the scene after a collision between Gilder and a Nissan Almera.
Cazacu, 33, was charged with one count of causing death by careless driving on February 6.
The victim was rushed to Royal Berkshire Hospital with life-threatening injuries, but later died.
Tributes to Mr Gilder online read: "Words can’t describe how heartbroken I am for you.
"Rest in peace Ed. Such a kind and caring guy."
