SCHOOL children from the Westwood Farm Primary School in Reading have been taking part in skipping activities, which is part of an initiative to make the school more healthy.
The children from the school in Tilehurst used skipping ropes to complete a 2 minute challenge, designed to motivate them to exercise.
Mrs Fullbrook, PE coordinator at the Westwood Farm Primary School, said: “The children were certainly inspired and want to work on improving their skipping scores over the next few weeks and months.”
Participants were motivated to download the Skip2Bfit App, which provides 2 minute skipping exercises and inspiring voiceovers.
Mrs Fullbrook added: “It is always good to come together as a school to share our skills and learning through fun activities in Westwood Farm Schools and also to inspire our younger pupils by older pupils being positive role models.”
The pupils were also introduced to new meal choices and encouraged to eat a healthy snack at break times.
