SCHOOL children in Berkshire including Reading, Wokingham and Bracknell are urged to apply for the ACS International School’s Global Citizens Award.
Students who enter will have the chance to win £1,000 for themselves and their school.
The award is designed to recognise encourage and reward young people across the region who are already making a difference in the local community.
Izzy Hodzic, one of last years winners believes the winning money can be used for good causes.
She said: “I split the winnings and put it into mine and my brother’s university funds because I believe that education is the most important thing to spend money on.
“At the moment, I am working with charities to ensure that people less fortunate than me also have opportunities and a good education.
"This award is something that I am extremely proud to have received, and I am glad that other students will also have the opportunity to be rewarded for their hard work.”
In order to enter students are asked to describe how they are supporting a good cause or a local charity.
The winners are chosen by a panel of judges including the headmasters at ACS International Schools.
Entries can be submitted up until Friday, February 22, for more information visit: acs-schools.com/bursaries.
