HMV store announces closure along with 26 others
HMV has announced 27 store closures across the country and the Reading store is one of them.
The store based at The Oracle in Reading will be closing down after HMV was bought out by Canadian company Sunrise Records.
Today it has been revealed that Doug Putman, Canadian mogul will own 100 stores which means 27 shops will be closing down.
This has meant 455 staff members will lose their jobs as the stores go into administration.
The shop sold music CDs, vinyls, DVDs, games and memorabilia.
