THE BRACKNELL Rotary Club have raised £1,000 for The Gurkha Welfare Trust after holding a successful Burn's Night dinner.
The rotary club held the dinner on Saturday, January 26 at Sindlesham Court in Wokingham, which was attended by 80 people.
A representative from The Bracknell Rotary Club, said: "The Rotary Club of Bracknell is proud to support the Gurkha Welfare Trust.
"We will be sending £1000 to The Gurkha Welfare Trust as a result of this event."
The money donated was raised through ticket purchases for a raffle and games, which where hosted during the night.
The dinner is an annual event for the Rotary Club of Bracknell and Alan Vaughan from the Reading Pipe Band provided the musical entertainment for the night.
