A MAN has been sentenced after his vehicle collided with a lamppost and drugs were found nearby.
Chris Jordan, 34 from Reading was sentenced to two years imprisonment on Friday, January 18 at Reading Crown Court.
In March last year Mr Jordan was seen acting suspiciously, after police attempted to stop him he fled from the scene in his vehicle before colliding with a lamppost.
Thames Valley Police found class A drugs in a nearby area.
PC Nicola Henderson, investigating officer, of the Reading Stronghold team, said: “Combatting the supply of class A drugs is a priority for Thames Valley Police.
“Drugs supply causes great harm for our local communities and we will work tirelessly to ensure that those responsible are prosecuted.”
He pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Mr Jordan’s sentence has been suspended for 18 months.
