POUNDLAND is set to close its two existing stores and open a larger shop in the town centre.
Expected to open in February, the move will result in the closure of the Friar Street and Hosier Street sites.
The new shop will open on the Oxford Road entrance to Broad Street Mall.
A Poundland spokesman said: "We will be closing our two stores in the next few weeks and opening a brand new larger store on Broad Street Mall in February.
"We are currently in consultation with our colleagues and we will be looking to redeploy them to the new store or other stores where possible."
