TWO dogs who were struck by vehicles on the motorway have died.
Thames Valley Police received several calls on Sunday about the animals.
The Roads Policing Unit put in rolling roadblocks on the M4 westbound.
This affected the carriageway between junction 13 (Chieveley) and 14 (Hungerford).
Highways England confirmed the dogs had been found and removed from the motorway.
However, the Roads Policing team provided an update on Monday morning to say both dogs were unable to survive their injuries.
They were taken to a local vet, who identified the owner from the microchips and the owner has since been informed.
