A MAN was rushed to hospital with non life-threatening injuries after he was attacked on Oxford Road.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene shortly before 2.30pm on Sunday and found a man had been assaulted.
He was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital with injuries, not believed to be life-threatening.
Detectives are investigating and appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in Oxford Road, near the junction of Lorne Street, between 2pm and 2.30pm.
Residents may have noticed an increased presence of officers while investigations were carried out.
