Laurel and Hardy fans will be in for a treat this weekend as lookalikes of the iconic due will be available for pictures at Showcase Cinema de Lux Reading, before screenings of two classic films.

The lookalikes, who will go under the moniker 'Thick and Thin', will be posing for photos with film buffs before and after showings of Towed In The Hole and Way Out West this Saturday, January 5 and Sunday, January 6, at 2pm.

The reshowing of the vintage Laurel and Hardy films comes ahead of the release of Stan and Ollie on January 11.

Starring John C. Riley and Steve Coogan, the biographical comedy drama film tells the tale of the duo attempting to reconnect with their fans by touring variety halls in Britain during 1953.

UK general manager for Showcase Cinemas, Mark Barlow, said: "Laurel and Hardy are titans of the silver screen and we're thrilled to be able to show these 1930s classics at Showcase Cinemas.

"It's also a great opportunity to introduce these iconic actors to a whole new audience in 2019."
