TO mark the arrival of Escape Hunt Reading’s new five-star escape room adventure, Blackbeard’s Treasure, a 3D interpretation of the game was unveiled in the town centre.

As immersive as the escape room game itself, the painting featured a unique portrait of Reading’s very own Rickey Gervais, as fans have never seen the star of The Office before.

The unique art, created by world-renowned street art company 3D Joe and Max, captivated passers-by.

The exhilarating game at Escape Hunt Reading transports players back in time to the galleon of one of the most notorious pirates in history, the terrifying Captain Blackbeard.

With the ship shot to pieces and sinking fast, players and their shipmates go in search of Blackbeard’s fabled loot but find themselves trapped aboard.

With just 60 minutes before they go down with the ship, teams have to work together and solve a series of mind-bending puzzles to make their escape.

Konstantinos Kostoulis, general manager at Escape Hunt Reading, said: “Escape Hunt Reading is now open and we are really excited to share another immersive experience in the form of this unique 3D drawing with shoppers in the town centre.

“We hope this brilliant artwork encourages residents to be sucked into the sinking ship and more escape room adventures for real at Escape Hunt Reading.”

Fans of the Wild West are also in for a treat at Escape Hunt Reading as they’re invited to outrun a gang of bandits in Escape the Wild West.

Plus, players can enjoy The Last Vikings, whereby teams have to work together and summon the Norse gods for protection to save their Viking village from the Ice Giants.
