THE LEXICON now has specialist toilet facilities for people with disabilities and other conditions.

The new toilets, which provide extra support are located in The Avenue Car Park at The Lexicon.

The facilities have an adult-sized and height-adjustable changing bench, a centrally placed toilet with room either side for carers and shower facilities.

Rob Morris, general manager at The Lexicon says: “Our aim is to make The Lexicon accessible to everyone, and we are pleased to support the ‘Changing Places Changing Lives’ national campaign.”

The brand new toilets are part of the Changing Places Changing Lives campaign, which raises awareness for people who cannot use standard accessible toilets.

Councillor Paul Bettison, Leader of Bracknell Forest Council, said: “This type of Changing Places facility makes all the difference in enabling people with certain disabilities to use our new town centre.

I'm delighted that The Lexicon is providing accessible toilets so that everyone can visit it without the worry of how and where they can use such facilities.”

The Avenue Car Park’s two Changing Places toilets, are situated on the ground floor.

Local resident, Suze Woodley, added: “My son has severe cerebral palsy and can’t use toilet facilities like able bodied people.

"He requires facilities that have a hoist and full size changing bench. The Changing Places facilities at The Lexicon mean that for first time in more than ten years, we can go out for the day shopping, go to the cinema, socialise and stay"
