MORE people than ever signed up to take part in the Reading Santa Run on Sunday.
With a choice of elf or Santa outfits, the popular fun run was raising money for a number of charities.
As well as a mini 1km route for people of all abilities, there was a more challenging 5km option for serious runners starting at Forbury Gardens.
Councillor Debs Edwards, the Mayor of Reading, started both runs and all proceeds from the event will go to Macmillan Cancer Care and the Footsteps Foundation.
