A TERRIFIED man was punched and kicked in the face after leaving a casino in the town centre.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was attacked by three offenders as he left the Admiral Casino on Friar Street at around 3am.

The 52-year-old was punched and kicked by two men and a woman who stole money from the victim on Saturday, April 14.

The man ended up with a black eye, scratches to his face and injuries to his ribs because of the incident.

He was treated at Royal Berkshire Hospital and has since been discharged.

Police are releasing CCTV images of a man who may have information following the incident of the robbery.

Police constable Thomas Wheatman of Reading Police station said: “This was a scary ordeal for the victim, who sustained injuries and required hospital treatment.

“We are appealing to the public for help in identifying the person pictured in these CCTV images, as we believe they could help us with the investigation.

“If you recognise the person in this image then please get in touch with police.”
