FROM Christmas markets, twinkling lights and festive food The Lexicon are bringing you their best Christmas celebration yet.

Festivities will kickstart on Friday, November 16 in Bull Square and will feature a range of food, drink and unique Christmas gifts in fifteen traditional hand-crafted chalets.

Shoppers will be able to purchase Yorkshire pudding wraps, local ales at the bar, traditional German bratwurst, churros, donuts and specialist hot chocolates and a selection of olives and nuts from the Christmas markets.

Councillor Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for economic development, said: “The Christmas market at The Lexicon will be a welcomed addition to the town centre, offering a range of niche gifts and goodies to further compliment the town’s unusual market.

“It will also add a charming and festive feel to our town centre as we head into the Christmas season.”

Rob Morris, general manager at The Lexicon, added: “Christmas markets are always a very popular attraction and add something extra special to the Christmas season.

“The markets are also offering a range of gifts, such as festive cheese, bath bombs, speciality gin and wine and more. “

For the youngsters, there will be a Christmas train offering rides around the town to enjoy minute of what the shopping centre has to offer.

Mr Morris added: “The response from everyone has been very positive and we are expecting a lot of people of all ages to come and join in with the festivities at The Lexicon.”

Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon said: “We are really excited to celebrate our second Christmas at The Lexicon, starting with The Lexicon Festive Market.”

On November, 25, visitors will get to attend an afternoon of music, entertainment and the big switch on of the Christmas tree in Union Square.

Visitors can attend the festive fun at 4pm in Princess Square, where a Vocalese Choir will perform before members of the Bracknell Gymnastics Club switch on the lights inside.

At 5.15pm, the magical Snow King and Queen will light up the Christmas tree and the rest of the lights throughout the town centre.

For the youngsters, there will be a children’s Christmas train offering rides around the town.

Cllr Brunel-Walker said: “There is not long left before our town centre revels in the festivities of Christmas, with the lights switch on just around the corner.

Sue added: “The Christmas Lights Switch on will be a great occasion for all ages to enjoy, whilst bringing some festive cheer to the town centre. There will also be a few surprises on the day.’’

Visitors can also enjoy Late Night Shopping, for the weeks commencing December 10 and 17 where retailers will open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 7pm on Saturday, with usual Sunday opening hours.
