A MAN has been charged in connection with a series of thefts across Reading.

Kyle Hill, of Usk Road, Reading, appeared at the crown court on November 15.

The 31-year-old was charged with five counts of theft from a shop and another count of burglary.

It is in connection with thefts of charity boxes at a number of shops in the town over the last two months.

He is also accused of carrying out a burglary at a business on Crockhamwell Road on October 20.

Hill was remanded in custody and he is due to appear at Reading Crown Court again on December 13.
