A YOUNG hero decided to set himself a swimming challenge to raise money for a very worthy cause.
Southcote Primary school pupil Dylan Bryson, 10, fundraised for Children with Cancer UK by completing a mammoth swim.
Dylan took on a 2.5km, or 100 lengths, swim at Bradfield College pool on October 21.
Having been inspired by five-year-old Toby Nye, who battles with cancer, Dylan decided to challenge himself.
He set himself a target of £500 and is well on the way to reaching his goal, with more than £350 already raised.
Dylan’s father, Anthony, said: “As his dad I am very proud of him for thinking of doing this.
“It makes him feel great to raise money for children with cancer.”
