A TEENAGER is set to appear at the crown court after being charged in connection with supplying cocaine and cannabis.

Kaine Bentley-Simmonds, of no fixed abode, was charged by Thames Valley Police with two counts of possession of drugs with intent to supply.

The 18-year-old was subject to a stop-and-search by police officers on Oxford Road on October 30.

He appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court the following day after being charged with one count of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A – cocaine and one count of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis.

Bentley-Simmonds was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on a date to be determined.
