A THIEF who stole several motor vehicles has been jailed for five years and three months.

Damion Hall, of The Nightingales, Newbury, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court after admitting to all of the charged on October 10.

The 35-year-old was charged with four counts of burglary and three counts of theft of a motor vehicle on May 21.

The charges relate to offences that took place between May 8 and May 20, when Hall burgled four properties in Newbury, stealing various items, including three cars.

All three vehicles were recovered by police.

Detective constable Martin Turner, of the Investigation Hub at Newbury police station, said: “Hall committed a substantial amount of burglary offences this year that impacted widely on the general community.

“Thames Valley Police worked hard with the Crown Prosecution Service, victims and witnesses to bring this offender to justice.

“We take reports of burglary extremely seriously and will always conduct a thorough investigation.”
