AN INVESTIGATION is underway after two men were spotted running from the scene of a car crash.
The collision happened at around 6.30pm on The Street in Mortimer on October 4, when the driver collided with a telegraph pole.
Several police cars and fire crews were deployed to the area, while dogs carried out searches of the area.
Officers were unable to trace either men and the vehicle blocked the road for around two hours.
Witnesses say they saw two men wearing masks run into a nearby field after getting out of a silver Mercedes.
