SLOUGH Town have won all four matches in the National League South this September after a 2-0 victory against Hungerford Town on Saturday.

The Rebels did not suffer a defeat in seven matches last month and their latest win moves them up two places to fifth position in the league table.

Slough broke the deadlock on 36 minutes at Arbour Park as James Dobson whipped in a free-kick to the near post and Matthew Stevens got in front of his defender the sweep the ball in.

The home side were unfortunate not to double their advantage before the break when a half-volley from captain Mark Nisbet was ruled out for offside.

The second goal arrived just two minutes after half-time as Dobson cut inside from the left, weaved through the defence and fired in from close range.

Hungerford came close to pulling a goal back a few minutes later when Darren Foxley saw his well-placed free-kick cannon off the top of the crossbar.

Slough turn their attention toward the FA Cup and a third qualifying round tie at home to Bristol Manor Farm from the Southern League Division One South this Saturday (3pm).

Chalvey Sports are out of the Hellenic League Challenge Cup this season after a 3-1 defeat away at Malmesbury Victoria on Saturday.

Two goals from Shane Bumphrey gave Malmesbury, from Division One West, a clear lead heading into the break in the first round tie at The Flying Monk Ground.

The Stabmonks pulled one back through Kryan Quelch, but Bumphrey scored again late on to complete his hat-trick and secure victory for the home side.

Chalvey make the short trip to Burnham in the Hellenic League Supplementary Cup on Tuesday (7.45pm), before a return to action in Division One East at Holyport this Saturday (3pm).

Burnham have made progress in the Challenge Cup following their 3-1 win away at Yateley United from Division Two West on Saturday.

Goals from Ryan Tackley and Aiden Higgs gave The Blues a clear heading into the break at the Sean Devereux Park.

Yateley pulled one back after the break through Myles White, before Higgs struck again to secure victory for the visitors.
