Body found in search for missing woman
A BODY has been found in the search for a missing woman.
Valerie Pretlove, aged 78, from Brunswick Hill in Reading, was last seen at 6.03am this morning at Crowne Plaza, near Caversham Bridge.
Following a search of the River Thames near to Caversham Bridge, sadly, officers have discovered the body of a woman in the water.
The woman is believed to be Valerie Pretlove, although formal identification is yet to take place.
Mrs Pretlove’s family has been informed and are being supported by officers.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "Our thoughts remain with them at this extremely difficult time."
