A BIKER had to be rushed to hospital after being involved in a collision with a lorry.
Ambulance crews and police were called to Cow Lane shortly after 12pm on Wednesday, September 5.
The incident saw Cow Lane closed between the junctions of Portman Road and Richfield Avenue for just over an hour.
The person riding the motorcycle, who was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital, is believed to have escaped with minor injuries.
A spokesman for the South Central Ambulance Service said: "We sent an ambulance, a paramedic team leader in a rapid response vehicle and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance to the scene.
"Fortunately the rider had only sustained minor injuries and after initial treatment was then taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital."
Officers from Thames Valley Police attended and the area was made safe before reopening at around 1.30pm.
