A WOMAN in her sixties was threatened with a knife in her own home by two men.

At around 10.30pm on Tuesday (28) the men broke into the woman's house in Hurricane Way, Woodley.

One of the men was armed with a knife, and pointed it at the victim while the other man searched the house.

However, they fled the scene empty handed after believing that the police had been called.

The men are described as being between 25 and 30-years-old.

One was around six feet tall, of a medium build, dressed in a navy blue hooded top with a bandana or scarf covering his face.

the other was described as 5ft 4ins tall, of a medium build, dressed in a grey hooded top and dark jeans.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Robert Simpson-Jones, of Force-CID at Newbury station, said: “This was a scary experience for the victim in this case.

“We are appealing for anyone who believes they may have some information relating to this to come forward. Any amount of information would be helpful with our investigation.”
