A POLICE officer saved the life of a vulnerable woman after she jumped into the River Kennet on Tuesday (28).
Inspector Richard Jarvis, who is based at Reading police station, leapt into action as the woman, a 39-year-old from Didcot, fell into the water close to the A329.
A post on the force's social media said that Insp Jarvis risked his own life saving the woman.
