POLICE have appealed for witnesses to come forward in connection with a public order offence.
The incident took place on Pepper Lane, Earley as the victim was walking into the University of Reading entrance on August 25, shortly after 6pm.
The victim was subjected to a tirade of abuse when a woman started swearing at them while making an obscene hand gesture.
The suspect, who was driving a dark Land Rover, is described as a white female, in her 30's.
Investigating officers believe she is of a medium to large build, with dark brown hair in a ponytail.
She was wearing a dark short-sleeved top.
