A WOMAN in her sixties has died in hospital following a motorway collision earlier this month.

The woman was a rear seat passenger in a Vauxhall Astra which was involved in a single vehicle collision on the northbound carriageway of the M40, near junction 8 in Oxfordshire, at 6.11am on Friday, August 3.

The woman was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with life-threatening injuries, and passed away on Monday, August 20.

Investigating Officer Bryan Smith, of Roads Policing at Howes Lane, Bicester, said: “We are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen this collision.

“Tragically a woman lost her life, we would like to hear from anyone who may feel that they can offer any information to assist with the investigation.”
