AN ARREST has been made after a man was thrown from his bike during a daylight attack.

The victim, a 60-year-old man was cycling on the A4 Bath Road at around 2.15pm on July 23 when he was approached by a group.

One of the men from the group came closer and pushed him to the ground, causing the victim to sustain injuries to his arms and knees.

A 28-year-old man from Reading was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and was released under investigation.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the attack, particularly if they have dash-cam footage.

Detective constable Nick Packham, of Reading Investigation Hub, said: "We are investigating this assault during which a man was thrown from his bicycle.

"It is believed a number of members of the public were present while this was taking place, some of whom filmed the incident on their mobile phones.

"I would like to speak to anyone who has any information which could assist our investigation or who has any footage of the man being assaulted."
