A TILEHURST man has been jailed for stealing an iPad from a house.
Albert Todd, 48, of Dryland House, The Meadway, appeared at Reading Crown Court on Thursday, July 26, where he pleaded guilty to a single charge of burglary.
On June 11, Todd smashed the window of a property in Reading, made his way in and stole an iPad.
He was arrested and charged on June 21, and sentenced to 29 months' imprisonment.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Alan Pearcy, of the Investigation HUB at Reading station, said: "Thames Valley Police will investigate all reports of burglary and if convicted they can expect to receive a substantial prison sentence, Todd has pleaded guilty due to the overwhelming evidence against him."
