DETECTIVES investigating a shocking sex attack have made another appeal for clues into the case.

The victim, a woman in her twenties, was walking along Goldsmid Road in Reading when a pervert pounced.

He grabbed her from behind, placed his arm across her neck and shoulders and then sexually abused her before fleeing the scene.

The incident happened at around 8pm on Sunday, July 22 and detectives are yet to make an arrest.

A police spokesman said: "The victim, a woman in her twenties, was walking along Goldsmid Road at about 8pm on Sunday 22 July.

"She was then grabbed from behind by a man, who placed his arm across her neck and shoulders.

"The offender then sexually assaulted the woman at the same location before fleeing the scene."

Police have now released CCTV images of a man they believe holds vital information into the case.

Detective constable Yong Chung added: "Today I am re-appealing to the man in these images or anyone who knows him to contact police, as he may have vital information about the incident.
