A YOUNG woman was grabbed from behind and sexually assaulted during a distressing attack.

The victim, a 27-year-old woman, was dragged into a house by another woman on Weald Rise on May 7 at around 11pm.

A man then entered the property and the duo attacked the woman, who was later sexually assaulted by the male offender.

The victim then escaped through the front door. She suffered scratches but did not require hospital treatment.

Investigating officers have released an E-Fit image of the attackers.

A 30-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit assault.

He has been released under investigation.

The male offender is described as white, tall, of slim build with piercing green eyes.

He was wearing a black tracksuit and had his face covered.

The female offender is described as white, aged between 20 and 25-years old.

She has pale skin and shoulder length mousy hair with a middle parting.

Detective constable Amy-Jane Rogers, based at CID in Reading, said: "This was a very distressing incident for the victim.

"The E-Fit and description could help us identify the two people involved in this attack.

"We believe this is an isolated incident.
