GADGETS and bank cards were raided during an early morning burglary, before the offender used the stolen money to buy a takeaway. 

Between 3am and 6am on Wednesday April 25, a burglar slipped through a window into the living room of a property in Corel Gardens, Newbury.

The burglar took a Lenovo laptop, a leather bag, a HTC mobile phone and a set of headphones, as well as a Toshiba hard drive which contained sentimental family photographs. 

After the burglary, the offender took the bank card to a fast food restaurant at the Newbury retail park, where it was used to buy food items. 

Police want to speak with the man pictured in the CCTV in connection with this incident.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Martin Turner based at Newbury police station, said: “I am keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images, as he may have information which is vital to our investigation.
