STAFF from the county's fire service will have their heads in the clouds later this month as they take part in a charity skydive.

Members of staff from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) will be jumping out of a plane on Sunday, April 22 in a bid to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity, which provides a broad range of health and wellbeing services for the Fire Service community.

The team will be taking part in a tandem skydive from 10,000ft, meaning that they will be attached to an instructor throughout.

Taking on the challenge are Alex Brown, Angela Smith, Lucy Greenway, Steve Smith, Gordon Manning, Emma Rickards, James Pinchin, Doug Buchanan, Fayth Rowe, Lottie Walker, Emma Peate, Alex Brown and Jo Bromham.

Jo Bronham said: "We are delighted to be able to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity. With just under two weeks to go until we all make the jump and around £400 left to raise, we are hoping that we will be able to reach our target.

“So far, everyone has been so generous and it’s really appreciated. If people are able to donate – big or small – it will be a worthwhile donation to a Charity that does great work for the Fire Service community.”
