A CYCLIST escaped with minor injuries after he was struck by a car this afternoon.
Paramedics rushed to the scene of the crash near Thames Valley University in Kings Road, Reading, shortly after 3pm.
They treated a man who had been knocked from his bike and sent sprawling to the ground.
Luckily, he escaped the crash with minor injuries and was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital for treatment.
A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 15.14 with the caller reporting a collision between a car and a cyclist outside Thames Valley University on King’s Road.
"We sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance to the scene. Fortunately the male cyclist had only sustained minor injuries, and following initial treatment and assessment was then taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital."
