PUPILS celebrated World Book Day 2018 by hearing tales from a popular children’s author.
Abie Longstaff was the special guest at Waterstones Reading on Broad Street, although some of the schools were unable to attend due to the snow.
The children from Churchend Primary, Caversham Park and Redlands Primary School were treated to a reading of her latest book about the Fairytale Hairdresser on Saturday afternoon.
Waterstones staff joined in with the fun by dressing up as characters from some of the children’s favourite books.
