THE SEARCH is on for a missing man who vanished after leaving a pub on Friday night.
Steve Holland, from Thatcham, was last seen leaving the Slug and Lettuce pub in Wharf Street, Newbury, shortly after 11pm.
However, the 59-year-old did not return home and he did not turn up to work on Monday morning.
Thames Valley Police has launched an appeal to track him down.
A police spokesman said: "After leaving the pub he walked towards the wharf and has not been seen since."
Mr Holland was described as a white man of medium build, around 5ft 8ins tall and with short, receding dark brown hair.
He was last seen wearing black jeans and a black jacket with a stripey jumper underneath.
Investigating officer, detective inspector Jonathan Groenen, said: "I am very concerned for Steve's welfare, he has not made contact with anyone since Friday night and has not turned up for work yesterday.
"Anyone with any information regarding Steve's whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately by calling 101 and quoting reference 690 (11/12)."
