COMMUTERS were stunned as two of their fellow passengers began fondling each other in the train carriage.

The pair were seen getting intimate with each other on the 3.14pm service from Reading West to Newbury.

Other travellers were shocked after the two launched into a series of shocking acts during the half hour train journey.

Now transport police are appealing for two people who may hold crucial information to come forward.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Officers have launched an investigation following reports of a couple engaging in an explicit sexual activity while travelling on board a train service between Reading West and Newbury stations.

"The incident happened on the 3.14 pm train on Wednesday June 28.

"Today, CCTV images are being released of a man and a women who detectives wish to speak to in connection with the incident as they may hold vital information that could help the ongoing investigation.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information about what happened is asked to contact DC Richard Day by calling BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text information to 61016, quoting reference number 205 of 240717."
