A GINORMOUS trampoline park will open next month and create 60 jobs in the town.

The RedKangaroo jump arena opens on May 9 on Bridgewater Close, where the old indoor go-kart track used to stand.

Coming in at 36,000 feet and costing £1.7m, the park has the space to pack in a host of bounce based equipment.

As well as a vertical wall run, springy half pipe and 21 metre tumble track, boingy boys and girls of all ages can spring off angled wall trampolines, into a foam pit and off a gladiator beam.

For the more fearless, a timed ninja course and wipe-out style game that has a revolving, sweeping arm, will put competitors through their paces.

In a bid to broaden its appeal beyond the standard somersaulter, RedKangaroo will host sessions for trampoline fans with educational needs or disabilities, an under-five only group and disco parties with music and laser shows.

A 60 minute session costs £8, with mandatory jump socks a further £2.

Groups looking for a boozy boing can hire out the hall for licenced corporate parties.

Several jobs at the Park are currently being advertised on www.leisurejobs.com/minisites/red-kangaroo/jobs/
