YOU can enjoy a never-seen-before view of the Reading Half Marathon as a drone broadcasts a bird's-eye video of the racers.

Sebastian Lorenick will be flying the HD camera-totting drone across the sky as the runners make their way through the first stages of the marathon.

Stay tuned to the video below to watch the live footage.

The 33-year-old said: "Last year I tried recording some bits but it was only a practice.

"But this year I have the licence to do it properly.

"It's a huge event and I'm going to be the one person broadcasting it that can show it to the world from above.

"This is the first major event I'm recording because I only got the licence last month.

"Hopefully the weather will be fine."

The webdesigner will be flying the midrange drone between the start and the one mile mark with the flight lasting around 20 minutes.

The drone flight will begin as the runners set off at 10.15am.
