Common People is coming to South Park for a bank holiday bonanza featuring UK rock n roll legends, hip-hop royalty, sound system pioneers, and more, all topped off with a lavish helping of the Bestival team’s renowned magic, mayhem and merriment. Uniting party lovers across the heart of England, don’t miss out on the festival season’s stunning opener this 28-29 May.

Common People curator Rob da Bank says: “Common People was one of my funnest weekends festivaling in 2015, and believe me there was some competition! We loved it so much we decided to share the love with Oxford, another beautiful city and site with a fantastic musical heritage and a thriving arts scene and diverse crowd of party people.”

Saturday will see a headline set from Duran Duran, while Sunday sees Primal Scream topping the bill. And you can expect astounding music from Katy B, Craig David’s TS5, Soul II Soul, Public Enemy, Jamie Lawson, Gaz Coombes, The Cuban Brothers, Chas & Dave, Ghostpoet, The Sugarhill Gang, Lady Leshurr, Mr Motivator, Esther Joy Lane, Ran Kan Kan, Temple Funk Collective, Oxford City Singers and Horns of Plenty.

The Big Top will see sets from David Rodigan presents Ram Jam with My Nu Leng, DJ Zinc, Prince Fatty and Venum Sound, 99 Souls, Housewurk, Kurupt FM, Hospitality featuring Camo & Krooked, London Elektricity, Fred V & Grafix, Etherwood, Dynamite MC, Wrec, Amy Becker and Back For Good.

The Uncommon Stage presented by Nightshift will shake to the sounds of Original Rabbit Foot Spasm Band, The Balkan Wanderers, Zaia, Maiians, Neverlnd, Vienna Ditto, Esther Joy Lane, Little Brother Eli, Undersmile, Inner Peace Collective, Cameron A.G., Cassels, Peerless Pirates, The August List, Death Of The Maiden, Young Women’s Music, Duotone, Project and Julia Meijer.

The kaleidoscopic Sugar Skulls Cocktail Bus plays host to Ben Gomori, Cornerstone Soundsystem, Ghettospheric, Mims & Thirsty, DJ Giles and Joel Kane on Saturday. While on Sunday Simple Presents: Jasper James, Em Williams, James Weston, Xavier, Time Gore, Tom Baker, Stav, Dan Gascoyne and Burt Cope.

And the exalted Disco Shed will keep you dancing with Count Skylarkin (Trojan Records), Kerry & Casio, DJ FU (Freerange), Harvey K-Tel, Greg's Greats (The Shellac Collective), Alex 19 from Wigan and Jason 'The Cat' King on Saturday and Peepshow Paddy, Del Gazeebo, Em Williams (Simple), Dapper Dan, Trol23, JJMaurage's Reggae Bingo and Miss Splinters on Sunday.
