In ‘How to Build Your Story’ Cressida will share behind-the-scenes glimpses into how her books were made into DreamWorks films, she’ll give her top tips for budding authors and illustrators and show you how to draw Viking hero, Hiccup! After the event the winning class will enjoy LEGOLAND’s ‘LEGO Education Story Starter’ workshop where Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils work together to create, build and tell stories with LEGO bricks.

All schools can watch Cressida’s ‘How to Build Your Story’ event filmed live from LEGOLAND for free by registering at www.childrensauthorslive.com and tuning in at 10:30AM on 19 May. Every school who registers for the event will also be entitled to a discounted rate on a school trip to the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort AND a free curriculum based workshop.

Terms and Conditions
The prize is for a winning school class of up to 30 children (maximum) aged 8-11 (years 4, 5, 6) and 10 adults from the respective school to accompany the children. 
Schools must be based in Berkshire to enter. 
1 entry per school class
Entries must be made on behalf of the class by the teacher 
Coach transport will be provided from the winning school to LEGOLAND and return. 
‘How to Build Your Story’ is a live event which will be filmed and streamed online via www.childrensauthorslive.com for other school classes to watch. By entering this competition you confirm that parental consent has been granted for all members of the class to be filmed. 
Filming will take place during the LEGO Education Story Starter workshop which will be used for promotional purposes. The teacher will be provided with Model Release Forms to be signed by each pupil’s parent/guardian. 
Children’s Authors Live is the Hachette Children’s Group’s virtual author events website (www.childrensauthorslive.com). Schools can register via the website to watch free author events streamed live into their classrooms. All events are available to view at any time as on demand via Watch Again 
The winning class will be informed by 3 May. 
Entrants must be aged 18 or over. 
Entrants will be entered into a prize draw which will take place on 29th April 2016.
The winner will be selected at random by Berkshire Media Group.
The class must be available to attend the event and workshop on 19 May 2016.
Not all attractions, shows and rides may be operational on the day of the visit.  
Height, age and weight restrictions apply on some rides. 
The school class will be required to bring their own packed lunches. 
No other elements or expenses such as meals and beverages, spending money or Q-Bot access to rides and attractions are included. All such expenses are the sole responsibility of the teacher. 
The promoter’s decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into. Unless otherwise stated the promoter is the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort.
