FIREFIGHTERS were called to a three-car collision in Calcot this afternoon.
A man was taken to hospital with suspected neck injuries following the incident but the other drivers were unharmed.
A crew from Dee Road fire station raced to the scene in Bath Road shortly after 3.30pm.
Paramedics were also called to the incident, which occurred near the Best Western Hotel in Calcot.
A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the A4 Bath Road at 3.27pm today.
"We were assessing and treating one male patient at the scene for possible neck injuries and he was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for further treatment."
A spokesman for Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue service added:"We made sure the cars were safe and we moved them out of the road."
