A MAN punched in the face outside a nightclub following an altercation between around 30 members of the public has prompted a police appeal for information.
The offence took place in Station Road, opposite Revolution at around 4am on April 3 and resulted in a 23-year-old man being assaulted.
The victim sustained a cut above his right eye and was treated at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
He has since been discharged.
Investigating officer, PC Alan Pearcy, of Reading police station, said: “The incident occurred during the early hours of Good Friday so there would have been many people enjoying an evening out in the town.
“I would like anyone who has witnessed the altercation to contact police via 101. If you have any information, no matter how insignificant you think it may be please contact the force.”
