AN ELDERLY man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in the borough's town centre this morning.
The man was crossing the road on the corner of Castle Street and West Street at around 11am when he was “clipped” by the corner of a bus heading for Reading Station.
Officers from Thames Valley Police attended the scene with paramedics from the South Central Ambulance Service who took the man to the Royal Berkshire Hospital following the incident.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “We were called at 11.06am to reports of an elderly pedestrian in collision with a bus. The gentleman has sustained minor injuries.”
No arrests have been made and access to both Castle Street and West Street has not been affected.
