HUNGERFORD’S largest employer has given a cash boost to the primary school to help it reach a funding target of £3,700.
CDK Global donated £500 to Hungerford Primary School to help pay for a new piano and playground equipment.
The cheque was presented by CDK Global’s UK vice president and managing director, Neil Packham, in front of the school’s 420 children.
Mr Packham said: “As a major employer in the region, we’re pleased to be able to contribute to this local cause.”
Parent Teacher Association treasurer Jude Hodge was delighted by the generous donation and said: “Music plays a central part in the learning experience in the school, helping to raise pupils’ confidence and emotional well-being, so CDK Global’s contribution will prove hugely important to generations of school children.”
The money will also be used to regenerate the school’s playground equipment.
CDK Global is a leading provider of automotive business management services, specialising in IT, software and consultancy for more than 26,000 car dealers.
